Innovation Engineer

Requirements:
 
Materials scientist, physicist (with material science emphasis), chemist or other relevant degrees (BSc, MSc, PhD) 
 
One or more of the following:

Technical writing and reading (in the field of chemistry and materials science).
Hands on experience with high temperature processes and equipment.
Highly skilled in researching new topics and summarizing literature.
Analytical equipment familiarity (SEM, XRD, STA etc.)

What will you do?
 
As a multidisciplinary engineer in the innovation department, you’ll be in charge on managing company’s IP, detecting, and focusing on new patentable inventions.
Responsible of planning experiments in unexplored territories, purchasing materials and equipment and executing these experiments with a rigorous approach.
Working in a team of engineers and researcher to meet company’s goals (on earth and beyond).
Help to write grants for different space and innovation agencies around the world.
 
 
Nice to have:
 
– Proven patent writing experience.
– Good Familiarity with high temperatures electrochemical scientific methods.
– Good Familiarity with ceramic manufacturing process and methods.
– 3D printing experience in plastics and beyond.

Scale-up project manager

We are looking for a daring, creative and experienced chemist to work with us on scaling up the green iron production from the lab to a pilot scale.

Requirements:

• BA in Chemistry or Chemical engineering.
• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical engineering or Mechanical engineering (advantage).
• Experience in working in a chemical industry.
• Knowledge in metallurgy and metal powder sintering process (advantage).
• Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

 Responsibilities:

• Project leader in the development of chemical processes to facilitate the production of green iron.
• Design the scale-up from the laboratory to the pilot.
• Heat transfer rate calculations (COMSOL or similar).

Junior Electrical Engineer

What will you do?

Our lab is full of sensors, vacuum pumps and heating/cooling systems requiring constant modification to keep up with development requirements as well as custom control systems for acquisition and safety.

You will help design, program and integrate data acquisition and control systems for our lab and support operations by integrating new equipment, modifying equipment according to experiment requirements and fabricating custom accessories to aid in workspace organization and safety.

 We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a maker mentality and a passion for multidisciplinary personal development; Happy to work both alone and as part of a team, comfortable tinkering with industrial components, writing custom communication interfaces and using heavy workshop tools.

 Requirements:

• B.Sc. In Electrical engineering with at least 2 years experience in an industrial/lab setting
• Experience in integration and assembly of industrial electrical systems
• Understanding of control system architecture design
• Experience in programming PLCs and custom communication interfaces
• Experience with fabrication using workshop tools (Drills, grinders etc.)
• Experience in designing for and using 3d printing or CNCs

 Nice to haves:

• Experience working with microcontrollers
• Experience working with hydraulic/pneumatic systems
• Experience with induction heating circuits or systems
• Certified Electrician
